Terms of Service

VouchU is a platform that helps people discover one another and exchange skills with their local community. By creating an account, downloading, accessing, or using VouchU (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
• Provide accurate and up-to-date information about yourself, your skills, and what you're looking to trade.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it.
• Do not share your login credentials.

• VouchU is not a party to any agreement between members.
• Members are solely responsible for evaluating, negotiating, arranging, performing, and completing any trade.
• VouchU does not employ, supervise, certify, insure, or guarantee members or services.
• Any agreement — scope, timing, deliverables, compensation, taxes — is solely between the members involved. Use good judgment, communicate clearly, and confirm trades in-app so both sides can leave vouches.
• VouchU provides technology that helps members connect and arrange skill exchanges.

You may not:

• Impersonate or misrepresent your identity, skills, or affiliations.
• Post harassing, hateful, sexual, violent, illegal, or misleading content.
• Solicit money, donations, or payments outside the stated trade.
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools against the Service.
• Offer regulated professional services without any required licenses (such as medical, legal, or financial services).
• Create duplicate accounts or attempt to bypass account suspensions.
• Manipulate reputation systems. Do not attempt to game Trust Scores, Vouches, or ratings.
• Interfere with the Service. Do not upload malware, reverse engineer, scrape, spam, or otherwise interfere with the operation of VouchU.
• Share content you don't have the rights to use.

You retain ownership of photos, bios, and messages you post. You grant VouchU a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host and display that content so the Service can function. You represent that you have the rights necessary to post the content you upload.

Vouches must reflect real, completed trades. Fake, traded, or coerced vouches will be removed and may result in account termination. Trust Scores are computed by VouchU and may change as the community evolves.

Trust Scores are informational only and should not be interpreted as guarantees of future conduct or successful trades.

You can block or report any member at any time. We reserve the right — but not the obligation — to investigate reports and take any action we consider appropriate, including removing content, restricting features, or terminating accounts that violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts for:

• Fraud
• Abuse
• Illegal activity
• Repeated violations of these Terms or our Community Guidelines
• Protecting the community

VouchU is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, VouchU does not guarantee that members are truthful, trades will be successful, services will meet expectations, or that the Service will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, VouchU is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service or from trades between members.

In no event shall VouchU's total liability exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to VouchU during the previous twelve months, or (b) USD $100.

The VouchU name, logo, software, design, graphics, and all related materials are owned by VouchU and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written permission.

• VouchU may offer premium subscriptions or paid features.
• Pricing and features may change at any time.
• Subscriptions purchased through the App Store or Google Play renew automatically unless canceled.
• Refunds are handled according to Apple's and Google's respective policies.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

We encourage members to contact us first if they have a question or dispute regarding VouchU. We will make reasonable efforts to help resolve concerns informally whenever possible.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be governed by the applicable laws described in the Governing Law section of these Terms.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless VouchU and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your content, your trades with other members, or your violation of these Terms.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, constitute the entire agreement between you and VouchU regarding the Service, and replace any prior agreements or versions.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we'll notify you in-app or by email before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
