Community Guidelines

VouchU works because real people show up for each other. These guidelines keep it that way. Last updated: May 24, 2026.

Be real

Use your real name, your real photos, and skills you can actually deliver.

Be respectful

Treat every member the way you'd want a stranger to treat you.

Be reliable

Show up on time. Deliver what you promised. Confirm the trade in-app.

Speak up

If something feels off, report it. Real humans review every report.

What's welcome

  • Skill trades between adults — photography for branding, coaching for design, hair for headshots, etc.
  • Honest profiles with clear examples of your work and what you're looking for.
  • Thoughtful messages — say hi, share context, propose a fair trade.
  • Honest vouches after a real, completed trade.

What's not allowed

  • Harassment, hate, or threats of any kind, including based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, ability, or background.
  • Sexual content, nudity, or solicitation. VouchU is not a dating app.
  • Scams or misrepresentation — fake skills, stolen portfolios, AI-generated photos passed off as real.
  • Selling instead of trading. Asking for money beyond the agreed trade is not allowed.
  • Illegal activity, regulated services without a license (medical, legal, financial), or anything that could harm someone.
  • Spam, mass-messaging, scraping, or bot activity.
  • Fake or coerced vouches. Vouches must reflect a real trade.
  • Sharing private info (someone's address, phone, photos) without consent.

Meeting in person

  • Meet in a public place the first time when possible.
  • Tell a friend where you'll be.
  • Trust your gut — leave if something feels off.
  • Keep payments and agreements transparent.

How we enforce

When a guideline is broken, we may remove content, warn the member, restrict features, or terminate the account depending on severity and history. Serious violations (threats, illegal activity, scams) result in an immediate ban.

Reporting

Tap the report icon on any profile or in any chat. Reports are private, reviewed by a real human, and you can block someone at the same time.

Safety & community disclaimer

VouchU helps connect trusted local members for skill trades and collaborations. To help maintain a safer community, members are required to complete verification steps such as selfie checks and linking at least two social profiles.

While we work to promote trust and authenticity within the platform, VouchU does not guarantee, supervise, or control any trade, service, communication, or in-person interaction between members.

Users are solely responsible for evaluating, arranging, and completing trades at their own discretion.

If a member violates our community standards, users can report the account directly within the app. VouchU reserves the right to investigate reports and may suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate our policies.

By using VouchU, you acknowledge that all trades and interactions are conducted independently between users.
